From the quarry, into the room

The Iaeston is carved from a single piece of natural travertine — the same sedimentary limestone that clads the facades of Rome's most enduring buildings. Milled into a low drum, open on the underside, it transforms a geological event into a domestic act: an incandescent ring of warmth cast downward from living rock. No two pieces are identical; the veining, the pitting, the fossilised inclusions belong only to this stone, this lamp.

Three diameters

Available in 20, 30, and 40 cm diameters. A single Ø20 cm reads as a refined punctuation mark above a side table or bedside. A Ø40 cm, installed in a cluster of three over a kitchen island, becomes an architectural feature. The shallow profile — just 7 cm tall — keeps the ceiling clear.

The light

An integrated LED wedge strip is recessed into the inner circumference, angled to wash the underside of the stone. The travertine scatters and softens this light in ways no diffuser can replicate: amber where the stone is dense, cream-white where the material opens into voids. The effect shifts through the day as natural light changes around it.
