Lorixan begins as a solid drum of natural marble, then is cut through with a slow spiral seam that runs the length of its body. It is this single gesture — stone removed, not added — that gives the piece its identity: a fixture that reads as sculpture when off, and as a glowing ribbon of light when on. The contrast between the dense, veined mass of the marble and the thin bright line cutting through it is the whole point.

Veining You Can See Through

Each cylinder is cut from genuine marble, its natural veining running in unrepeatable patterns of charcoal, amber, and cream. Where the spiral cut opens the stone to the light source inside, the marble’s translucency comes forward — warm light bleeding through the thinnest edges of the veining, turning the material itself into the shade. No two pieces read quite the same way.

A Quiet Anchor for Considered Rooms

Hung low over a console table, a reading corner, or a single bedside, Lorixan works as a solitary statement rather than a bank of overhead light. The suspension hardware is kept deliberately minimal — a slim black cord and a discreet dark-metal fitting at each end of the cylinder — so nothing competes with the stone. This is a pendant that holds its presence in daylight as confidently as after dark.
