Bamboo, Woven and Painted by Hand

Each shade is built from natural bamboo strips, pleated into a clean drum silhouette and bound with a black bias trim along both edges. The pattern isn't printed flat onto fabric — it's brushed directly onto the bamboo, so grain and pigment sit together, giving every panel a slightly one-of-a-kind, hand-worked character.

Two Expressions, One Silhouette

Choose Abstract Brushstroke, an irregular sweep of black across raw bamboo that reads almost like ink on paper, or Diamond Lattice, a tighter, tribal-inspired geometry of diamonds and chevrons. Both share the same 30 cm drum, so the choice is purely about mood — loose and painterly, or graphic and structured.

Light That Filters, Not Floods

Held by a slim internal frame and finished with a standard E27 spider fitter, Pyaelith slips onto most harp-style table lamp bases or a pendant cord set fitted with an E27 lampholder. It's the shade alone — bring your own fixture and a warm white bulb (2700–3000K suits the bamboo best) — and light will soften as it passes through the natural fibres, escaping in faint bands between the slats.

A Quiet Upgrade for a Considered Room

Swap a plain shade for Pyaelith above a bedside table, at the end of a console, or hanging low over a café table, and the whole fixture reads differently — warmer, more tactile, unmistakably handmade. It's a small change that does a lot of the work in a room built around texture and restraint.
