The Drum of Stone

Velantro is a thick circular disc — a drum of natural stone mounted flush to the ceiling with a single brass fitting at its centre. When lit, the stone turns luminous: the veins, minerals, and natural inclusions of the material become a slow-motion painting of light, glowing in a clean, neutral-white tone. It does not illuminate the room so much as it becomes part of it.

Velantro comes in 30 cm, 40 cm, and 50 cm diameters, each just 5 cm thick — scaled for anything from a narrow hallway to a wide bedroom ceiling. Every version shares the same brass centre point and the same soft, even wash of light.
