DESCRIPTION
Art That Illuminates
The Athela is not a wall light disguised as sculpture — it is both, equally. A hand-cast resin bust of a woman with a flower crown and a butterfly resting at her ear, her finger raised to her lips in a gesture of quiet. An E27 socket concealed within the piece casts warm light from behind and beside the form, creating a natural halo effect that makes the sculpture read differently by day than by night.
Three Finishes, Three Moods
Available in white (light and classical, like a gallery piece), grey (matte and moody, suited to darker interiors), and gold (richly decorative, suited to maximalist or transitional spaces). Each finish is applied to the same cast resin form — the details of the flower crown, the butterfly wings, and the facial expression remain consistent across all three. A G45 LED filament bulb is recommended for the most flattering glow.
A Statement, Not a Supplement
The Athela works as a centrepiece, not as supporting cast. One above a console table in a hallway. One flanking a fireplace in a living room. Pair two facing each other in a dining room where the context — stone walls, linen curtains, heavy timber — gives the sculpture somewhere to be. At H34 × W16.5 × D18 cm, it has enough presence to fill a wall but not dominate a room.
