Art That Illuminates

The Athela is not a wall light disguised as sculpture — it is both, equally. A hand-cast resin bust of a woman with a flower crown and a butterfly resting at her ear, her finger raised to her lips in a gesture of quiet. An E27 socket concealed within the piece casts warm light from behind and beside the form, creating a natural halo effect that makes the sculpture read differently by day than by night.

Three Finishes, Three Moods

Available in white (light and classical, like a gallery piece), grey (matte and moody, suited to darker interiors), and gold (richly decorative, suited to maximalist or transitional spaces). Each finish is applied to the same cast resin form — the details of the flower crown, the butterfly wings, and the facial expression remain consistent across all three. A G45 LED filament bulb is recommended for the most flattering glow.

A Statement, Not a Supplement

The Athela works as a centrepiece, not as supporting cast. One above a console table in a hallway. One flanking a fireplace in a living room. Pair two facing each other in a dining room where the context — stone walls, linen curtains, heavy timber — gives the sculpture somewhere to be. At H34 × W16.5 × D18 cm, it has enough presence to fill a wall but not dominate a room.

Light Source & Technical Specs

E27 socket, G45 LED filament bulb recommended (max 9W, bulb not included). Compatible with 90–260V AC — suitable for any country. Not dimmable. Indoor use only. Installation requires hardwiring into the wall; mounting hardware included.

Dimensions & Installation

H340 × W165 × D180 mm backplate; the sculptural bust projects approximately 150 mm from the wall surface. The square backplate mounts flat against the wall. Coverage area: 5–10 m² of ambient light. Hardware and mounting accessories included.

Where the Athela Lives

Hallways and entryways where the first impression matters. Dining rooms where the form echoes the ritual of gathering. Bedrooms as a theatrical bedside element. The Athela has also been used in commercial spaces — hotels, restaurants, concept stores — where a touch of art-deco mythological whimsy is the point, not the exception.
