The Ualaelvix pendant takes its cue from wabi-sabi philosophy — the beauty of the handmade, the imperfect, the organic — and translates it into a sculptural scalloped dome that reads as much like a woven vessel as it does a light source. Its flower-like silhouette, gathered into soft undulating folds at the hem, brings a quiet, artisanal presence to any room it enters.

Hand-Knotted, Not Machine-Made

The shade is hand-knotted from natural rattan-style rope over a discreet wire armature, each strand tied by hand into an open lattice that catches and scatters light rather than blocking it. Nothing about the texture is uniform — the subtle irregularities in the weave are the mark of handwork, not a flaw. Suspended from a slim adjustable cord and a compact ceiling canopy, it installs cleanly into any standard fixture point.

A Glow That Filters, Never Floods

Light passes through the open weave in soft, dappled fragments, casting warm patterns across ceilings and walls as the day fades. Rather than a single hard source, the effect is ambient and layered — closer to firelight filtered through branches than a conventional bulb. Sized and Configured to Fit the Room

Available in two shade diameters — a more intimate Ø60cm and a statement-making Ø80cm — and in three lamp-holder configurations of 1, 4 or 5 bulbs, Ualaelvix scales from a bedside or entryway accent to a full dining-table centerpiece. Bulbs are not included, which means you choose your own light temperature: a warm 2700–3000K bulb is recommended to stay true to the piece's wabi-sabi warmth.
