Glass That Does the Work

The Kronex is a glass pendant built around a single act of restraint: a tinted glass shade, a bare exposed bulb, and nothing else to distract from them. In Smoked Gray, the glass deepens and dramatises the light within it. In Amber, it diffuses warmth through every surface it touches. Two shade forms and two glass tints create four distinct combinations, each with a different character in a room.

Two Shade Forms

The Sphere (Ø25cm) is the classic — a rounded globe that distributes light evenly and flatters any room it hangs in. Install it as a pendant for drama or as a close-ceiling mount for lower-ceiling rooms. The Cylinder (Ø12cm × H23cm) is the minimal choice — a tall, narrow chimney shade that focuses the light downward and reads as deliberately architectural, especially striking hung in a row of three above an island.

Color as Material

The Kronex's glass tints are not decorative afterthoughts — they fundamentally change the quality of light in the room. Smoked Gray produces a cool, slightly mysterious light that reads well in contemporary and industrial spaces, paired with a matte black fitting. Amber delivers a warm, honeyed tone that flatters faces and turns any dinner table into something inviting, paired with a brushed brass fitting — approaching the quality of candlelight when used with a filament bulb.

Two Mounting Options

Each Kronex variant can be installed as a true pendant (adjustable cord, up to 2.5m drop) or as a semi-flush close-ceiling mount with a short stem. The pendant configuration allows the shade to hang free and show itself off fully — ideal over a dining table or kitchen island. The stem mount works in rooms where ceiling height is limited or where the fixture needs to sit closer to the ceiling.

Where the Kronex Works

Three Cylinder pendants in Smoked Gray above a kitchen island is a combination that has proven itself in contemporary kitchens for good reason — the narrow shades focus light where it's needed without visual bulk. A single Sphere in Amber as a hallway or entryway mount adds warmth without fuss. Three Spheres in Amber, staggered at different drop heights, bring a soft, sculptural glow to a dining table.

Installation

The Kronex uses a standard E27 bulb socket — bulbs are not included. We recommend a warm filament LED bulb (warm white, max 40W) for the best colour rendering through the tinted glass. Compatible with 90–260V. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician.
