DESCRIPTION
The chandelier as theatre
There are lamps, and then there are objects that change the room they enter. Plumessa belongs to the second category. A mass of genuine ostrich feathers — each one dyed, dried, and anchored to a steel frame — cascades downward from a brushed gold ceiling rose in a dense, swaying canopy that obscures the light source entirely. When the air moves, so does the chandelier. It is, in the strictest sense, alive.
Seven colourways
Available in seven curated colours: grey, black, orange, pink, purple, red, and white. The black version is pure cinema — appropriate in high-ceilinged dining rooms, hotel lobbies, and any space where drama is not accidental. The white and grey variations are softer, more architectural, at home in rooms where pale palettes and natural textures dominate. All seven produce the same foundational effect: a ceiling that appears to be in motion.
Scaled to the room
Plumessa is offered across four diameters — 60, 80, 100, and 120 centimetres — so its scale can match anything from an intimate reading corner to a double-height hall. The two largest sizes are also available in an extra-full, 39-feather density, for spaces where more volume, more shadow, more presence is the point. Every version hangs from an adjustable brass-finished rod, so the drop can be set to suit the ceiling.
The light
The bulbs are embedded deep within the feather mass — invisible from below, and from most angles. The light that reaches the room is filtered and diffused through the feathers themselves, creating a warm, honeyed glow with no hard edges. Each fixture is available in warm, neutral, or cool white, so the atmosphere can be tuned to the room it enters. This is ambient lighting at its most extreme: atmospheric before it is functional.
