A Crescent Moon in Cement

Cirmoor is a square block of speckled cement, 24.5 x 23.5 cm, with a raised disc on its face. A thin crescent is cut around the disc: when the lamp is on, that crescent glows gold and a soft wash of light falls from the open underside onto the wall. Off, it reads as a small mineral sculpture.

Three Cement Tones

Black with white flecks, mid grey, or a pale stone white. Each piece is cast, so the grain and flecks vary slightly from one sconce to the next.

Where It Works

Only 6.5 cm deep, it suits a hallway, a staircase, either side of a bed or a mirror, or a row above a restaurant banquette. It lights a zone of about 5 to 10 m² with an indirect, glare-free glow.

Practical Details

E27 socket, bulb not included: choose a warm 2700 K LED bulb for a golden glow, or a neutral one for a crisper light. Hardwired to a wall junction box, 90 to 260 V.
