Across Southeast Asia, the parasol has long done double duty as shelter and as sculpture — a single folded form that reads as both utility and art. Sulavong takes that gesture and suspends it overhead: three tiers of pleated paper, cascading downward in a fan-like taper, each layer catching the light differently as it narrows toward a small faceted crystal drop. It is a shape with memory, reimagined as a fixture for the modern room.
Hot-Folded Paper, Cast in Amber Light
Each shade is hand hot-folded from heavyweight paper, a technique that leaves faint creases and natural variation across the surface — no two panels catch the light in quite the same way. The paper sits on a slim, dark bronze-finished metal frame, and when lit, it glows from within: not a bright wash, but a warm, textured amber that spreads gently across ceilings and walls rather than flooding a room.
Two Sizes, One Gesture
Sulavong is offered at 60 cm and 70 cm in diameter, the same tiered silhouette scaled to suit an intimate dining nook or a soaring double-height living space. Both hang from a slender adjustable suspension, so the drop can be tuned to your ceiling height and the piece it's meant to crown — a table, a lobby desk, a quiet reading corner.
Warm, Neutral, or Cool — Your Choice of Light
Sulavong ships with its LED bulb included, and you choose the light's character at checkout: Warm White for an evening glow that leans amber and intimate, Neutral White for a balanced, true-to-material rendering of the paper's texture, or Cool White for a crisper, more contemporary cast. Whichever you choose, the fixture runs on universal 90–260V wiring, ready for installation wherever in the world it lands.
