A Study in Crackled Glass

Helvora pairs crackled glass — with its characteristic network of fine interior fractures — with a ruffled, petal-like edge that gives the shade an almost floral quality. The walnut wood socket at the crown and the twisted fabric cord reinforce the antique sensibility, while the brass fittings hold the whole composition together with just enough formality. When lit, the glass fractures catch and scatter the filament light across the ceiling in a pattern that shifts as you move.

Helvora comes in three hand-finished shade profiles, each with its own presence: a slim reeded cone for tight, intimate drops; a fringed cone with a soft scalloped hem; and a wide ruffled dome in warm amber glass that reads almost like an open blossom. Group two or three across a table for a collected, gallery-wall effect, or hang one alone beside the bed.
