Two Spheres, One Idea

Mvaelvix reduces a pendant light to its most essential gesture: a sphere of raw stone resting above a sphere of glowing glass. The contrast is the entire point. One material absorbs light, the other releases it. Suspended on a slender black cord, the fixture reads less like a lamp and more like a small planetary object, caught mid-orbit above a table or console. It's a quiet piece, but never a plain one.

Cast in Raw Stone, Five Ways

Each stone sphere is individually cast, so no two are ever quite identical—the same honesty of material you'd find in a piece of hand-thrown ceramic. Mvaelvix is available in five finishes: a deep matte Black with a porous, volcanic texture; and four terrazzo blends—Taupe, Charcoal, Ivory, and Pink—each flecked with fine mineral fragments that catch the light differently depending on the hour. The lower sphere, in opal glass, stays constant across every finish: soft, diffused, and warm to the eye.

A Wall Sconce for the Same Sensibility

For walls that call for the same idea without a cord, Mvaelvix is also offered as a flush wall sconce in the Black finish—the two spheres set side by side rather than stacked, a compact 21 x 10cm silhouette that suits entryways, hallways, and either side of a bed or mirror. Pendant and sconce are designed to sit comfortably in the same room, a matched pair in two postures.

Light That Settles, Never Glares

Because the light source sits fully inside the opal glass sphere, there's no exposed bulb and no harsh point of glare—just an even, ambient glow that softens a room rather than announcing itself. Each finish is available with your choice of warm white or cool white light, so the mood can lean toward candlelit dinners or crisp, gallery-like clarity.

Above the Table, Beside the Bed

Mvaelvix earns its keep above a dining table or kitchen island, where a small cluster of two or three pendants (mixing finishes is encouraged) creates a soft, staggered constellation of light. It's equally at home as a single drop beside a bed, in a reading nook, or flanking an entryway mirror in its wall-mounted form—anywhere a room benefits from a considered, sculptural point of light.

Built to Install, Built to Last

The pendant's stone-and-glass head measures approximately 10cm in diameter with a total drop of 19–21cm, suspended from an adjustable black cord (2m as standard, trimmable on installation) and a matching black ceiling canopy. The wall sconce mounts flush at roughly 21cm wide by 10cm deep. Both take a single G9 LED bulb (not included) on a 90–260V circuit and are not dimmable. As a hardwired fixture, installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.
