Ribbed Glass, Flat Cone

Bcelindra's shade is a wide, flat cone in deeply ribbed glass — the ribs running from centre to rim like spokes, catching and diffracting light across the full surface. The glass is thick, coloured through (not coated), and set into a polished brass E27 fitting on a twisted fabric cord. The combination of coloured glass and brass is as old as gaslight and as fresh as any contemporary lighting atelier.

Four Glass Colours

Teal is the most architectural — a dark petrol blue-green that reads as intensely saturated against white walls. Amber is warm and nostalgic, turning any space into a warm evening. Smoked Grey is the most sophisticated — darkly transparent, allowing the bulb to glow through with subtle diffusion. Clear allows the full beauty of the ribbed glass structure to be seen in daylight and light at night.
