The Banvex's Lamp Reinterpreted

Banvex takes the most canonical lamp form in the Western interior — the articulated gooseneck banvex's lamp, with its drum base and pivoting arm — and replaces the conventional green glass with deep cobalt violet. The shade saturates the downward light, casting a cool, intellectual glow onto the desk surface while the brass hardware catches the ambient warmth of the room.

The violet glass is the defining choice here — unusual enough to read as design, classical enough to fit in a library, a study, or a reading room. Under a warm bulb the violet deepens toward blue; under cooler light it shifts toward purple.
