A Study in Contrast

The Murvex pairs two honest materials — solid wood and raw, hand-finished ceramic — into a single vertical form. Where most sconces hide their construction, the Murvex puts it on display: a clean wood column rising from the wall, capped by a drum of textured ceramic that reads almost like stone. It’s the kind of quiet tension that makes a hallway or a reading corner feel considered rather than furnished.

Function follows form here. The ceramic shade rotates a full 180°, letting you aim the light exactly where you need it — angled onto a headboard, thrown across a console, or turned flush against the wall for a soft ambient wash. One fixture, several moods.

Two Woods, One Ceramic Cap

Available in Beige (a pale, warm-toned wood) or Brown (a deeper walnut grain), the Murvex adapts to your palette while keeping the same raw ceramic cap across both — a small, deliberate constant in an otherwise adjustable piece.
