Light above, stone below — a wall sconce in two materials, perfectly balanced.

Contrast as Composition

Genival pairs two spheres on a single brass arm: a frosted opal glass globe above, lit from within; a solid marble sphere below, opaque and weighted. The brass bracket projects from a circular wall plate, positioning both spheres at a slight angle that creates a studied asymmetry. The light comes from above; the presence comes from the stone below.

Marble Colours

Dark Green marble — richly veined, mineral depth
White marble — luminous, clean, Carrara-adjacent
Black marble — noir, architectural, dramatic

Where to Use

Flanking a bathroom mirror. Beside a bed as bedside accent lighting. Or in a corridor where you want a single considered object to stop someone in their tracks.
