Where light passes through hand-woven cane, and shadow becomes part of the design. The Ctaelinth pendant brings a slower, more tactile kind of illumination to the room — one shaped by craft rather than machine.

Woven Cane, Cast in Warm Light

At the heart of the Ctaelinth is a wide band of natural rattan cane, hand-knitted into an open lattice that filters the glow of a single bulb into hundreds of small, flickering points of light. Two black fabric rings frame the weave above and below, giving the silhouette structure and a quiet sense of contrast — pale cane held between dark edges, like a drum caught mid-glow.

An Aesthetic Rooted in Wabi-Sabi

This is a fixture that embraces imperfection as beauty. The irregular texture of the woven cane, the handmade nature of the craft, the earthy palette of natural fiber and charcoal fabric — all speak to the wabi-sabi philosophy of finding grace in the organic and the understated. It suits dining tables, tearooms, restaurant booths, and any interior that favors warmth over polish.

Sized to Fit the Space

Available in three diameters — 40cm, 50cm and 60cm — the Ctaelinth scales from an intimate reading nook to a generous dining table centerpiece. The suspension cord adjusts up to 120cm, so the drop can be tailored to your ceiling height, and the light is fully dimmable for both bright gatherings and quiet evenings.
