A Half Moon of Stone

Marisel is a half disc of natural travertine set flat against the wall, holding a small turned wood bowl with an opal glass globe. The light glows in the bowl and grazes the porous stone around it, revealing every pore and vein. Off, it reads as a quiet wabi-sabi object.

Where It Works

At 35 x 20 cm, it is made for a bedside, a hallway or the side of a mirror. In a pair, it frames a bed or a console. Natural stone: colour and pores vary from one piece to the next.
