The Shape of a Forgotten Log

Formeth begins as a cast of a real tree stump — cylindrical, weathered, its bark rendered in deep charred black against a warm, hand-painted wood grain. Cut from resin and fiberglass rather than timber, it holds its shape and colour through rain, sun and frost, while still carrying every knot and ring a real log would show. Set it beside a path, at the foot of a hedge, or half-hidden in a flower bed — it reads as something the garden grew, not something that was placed there.

Light Through the Fissure

A single crack runs down through the crown, flanked by narrower fissures in the bark. At dusk, this is where Formeth comes alive: a thin, bright seam escapes upward and out, fanning into dramatic rays across the lawn, the paving, or a nearby wall. It is a quiet piece by day and a small spectacle by night.

Built for the Outdoors

Rated IP65, Formeth is made to live outside year-round — along an entrance path, on a terrace, beside a pool, or scattered through a lawn in twos and threes. It is freestanding: no spike, no bracket, simply set it down where you want the light to fall.

Formeth takes a standard E27 bulb (not included), so the mood is yours to choose — a warm 2700K LED for the golden firelight look shown here, or any bulb to match the rest of your outdoor lighting scheme.

Small, at Ø20 × H27cm, suits a border or a single accent by the door. Medium, at Ø25 × H33cm, stands as a solo anchor along a path or beside a bench — or gather a few of each for a quiet trail of light through the garden.
