A Silhouette Borrowed From Old-World Glassmakers
Waelion channels the soft, scalloped glasswork of turn-of-the-century French lanterns — each panel of its globe gently fluted, catching and releasing light in quiet ripples rather than a single hard gleam. Suspended from an aged-brass rod and a hand-cast ceiling rose finished with a botanical motif, it reads less like a fixture and more like an heirloom rediscovered.
Two Glasses, One Sensibility
The globe is offered in milk-white glass, for a soft porcelain glow that flatters any wall colour, and in jade green, a deeper, more painterly tone that turns the fixture into a quiet focal point even unlit. Both are cast in the same opaline glass and hand-finished, so no two globes catch the light in quite the same way.
Three Forms to Suit the Room
Waelion comes in three related silhouettes: the rounded Melon globe, generous and lantern-like; the shorter Jar, compact with a softly domed cap; and the slender Column, an elongated profile suited to tighter spaces or a more vertical composition. Each keeps the same fluted glasswork and aged-brass fittings, so the family reads as one considered collection rather than three unrelated lights.
Lit to Suit the Hour
Each globe houses a single integrated light source, available in cool white, warm white, or a 3-colour dimmable setting that shifts between them — so the same fixture can read crisp and functional over a kitchen island in the morning, or soften to amber warmth above a bed at night.
Considered Installation
Waelion hangs from an adjustable brass rod, giving up to 180cm of drop from the ceiling rose — enough to sit low over a table or ride high in an entryway. A single fixture suits a bedside or reading corner; paired, as shown above an island or dining table, the globes make a quietly rhythmic statement.
