Torvix revives a shape that belongs to grand hotel lobbies and well-loved libraries: a scalloped, umbrella-like dome sitting atop a turned brass column. Eight gently curved glass petals fan out from a brass finial, catching light along their gilded seams. It is a design that feels found rather than manufactured — the kind of piece you imagine has always been in the room.

Hand-Finished Solid Brass

Every structural element is solid brass, worked through grinding, cutting, welding, hand-bending and polishing before it ever reaches the glass. The column has real weight in the hand and underfoot alike, and the antique-brass finish is built to deepen with age rather than wear thin — the mark of a fixture meant to be inherited, not replaced.

A Dome of Softly Diffused Light

The eight frosted glass panels wrap the bulb in an even, ivory-toned glow, free of hot spots or harsh shadow. By day the dome reads as pure sculpture; by night it warms a console, a nightstand, or the corner of a reading chair with the kind of light that makes a room feel finished.

Two Ways to Live With Light

Torvix comes in two faithful proportions of the same design. As a table lamp, it anchors an entryway console or bedside surface at 56 cm tall. As a floor lamp, the identical dome rises on a slender 150 cm column, built for reading corners and the empty space beside an armchair that has been waiting for exactly this. Both share the same 30 cm shade, so the character never changes — only the scale.

Two brass pull-chain switches hang beneath the shade, a small tactile ritual that suits the vintage spirit of the piece. Each lamp takes a single E27 bulb of your choosing — we recommend a warm 2700–3000K LED to bring out the honeyed tone of the glass — and arrives ready to place and plug in, no hardwiring required.
