A Boulder Suspended in Air
Velaro takes its cue from river-worn stone — the kind you find smoothed by decades of current, resting low and quiet in a landscape. Here that same form is lifted overhead and set adrift on a slender cord, its considerable presence made weightless. Above a dining table or floating through a living room, it reads first as sculpture, and only second as a light source.
Textured Like Riverbed Stone
The body is cast in a dense, stone-effect composite and finished with a coarse, mineral-speckled texture that catches light unevenly across its curve — exactly as real stone would. It has the visual weight of rock without the structural burden, so it hangs from an ordinary ceiling point with no special reinforcement required.
Two Tones, One Origin
Velaro comes in two natural stone finishes. Light Grey reads as a cool, coastal pebble — quiet and architectural, at home in pared-back interiors. Terracotta Pink carries the warmer, sun-baked tone of desert sandstone, softening a room with an earthier register. Both share the same handworked texture; only the mineral tone shifts.
Light That Pools Beneath
The form curves inward on one side, opening a hidden pocket where the light source sits, unseen until switched on. Choose Cool White for a crisp, contemporary wash, or Warm White for an amber glow that pools softly onto the surface below — the light never faces you directly, only the stone it illuminates.
Available in Three Sizes
Velaro scales from an intimate 40 cm — suited to a bedside or a reading corner — up to a commanding 80 cm centerpiece for a dining table or open living space, with 60 cm sitting comfortably in between. The suspension cord is adjustable to 1.5 m, so the drop height can be tuned to the room.
Considered Details
Fitted with a standard E27 socket and built for universal 90–260V circuits, Velaro installs onto any ceiling point with a simple cord-and-canopy mount. It is not a dimmable fixture — its two-temperature choice is fixed at checkout — and it is CE and RoHS certified for safe everyday use.
