The Barnox: Form and Function

The defining element of the Barnox is its curved barnox arm, which projects the shade forward from the wall and downward — directing the E27 bulb's output precisely where it is needed while keeping the shade form visible as a silhouette from the street. The stepped neck collar, a detail borrowed from gas-lamp fittings, adds visual richness that distinguishes the Barnox from the flat-arm industrial sconces that dominate the market. At night, when the Edison filament glows through the open base of the shade, the dome reflects that warmth back onto the wall below it in a pool of amber light.

The Barnox carries an IP65 weatherproof rating suitable for covered outdoor applications — front entrances, covered terraces, garden walls, and pergola posts. It performs equally well indoors in rooms where the industrial aesthetic is intentional: exposed brick kitchens, basement bars, workshop-style home offices, and loft living spaces. The E27 socket accepts any standard bulb up to 7 W; for the classic amber glow, a 4 W Edison-style filament LED at approximately 2200 K warm white is the recommended choice.

The Barnox is available in two bundles: without a bulb, for customers who prefer to choose their own light source; and with a recommended warm-white filament LED bulb included, for a ready-to-install experience. Both bundles include mounting hardware and installation instructions.

The Barnox measures 24 cm high, projecting 22 cm from the wall at the shade, with a 12 cm mounting backplate. All wiring is concealed within the arm and back plate; the installed fixture presents a clean, tailored appearance from every angle.
