DESCRIPTION
The macaron palette, applied to light
Macarelle takes the macaron's logic — a contrasting cap over a coloured body — and applies it to a pendant lamp. The shade is a flat, wide glass disc (ø25cm), glazed to a glossy, opal finish, and the cap above it is a short, ribbed iron cylinder in a different or matching gloss tone. The E27 bulb hangs exposed below the disc, visible from underneath. Six pairings are available — White, Pink + White, Red + White, Green + White, Yellow + White, and Yellow + Pink — each matching a cap tone to a shade tone. Pick a single colour, or cluster several together over a dining table.
A flat disc that illuminates downward
The disc form is deliberately flat: most of the light escapes below, producing a focused downward pool rather than a diffuse ambient glow. Above a desk, a bedside table, or a dining table, the light hits the surface precisely. The bulb itself becomes part of the composition when off, sitting below the disc like a dropped sphere.
Five ways to light it
Cool White (6500K) sharpens the read of each glass colour. Warm White (3000K) softens it, lending a warmer, glazed-ware quality. Neutral White (4000K) sits between the two, balanced for daily use. The Tricolor bulb includes a built-in E27 LED that switches between 3000K, 4200K and 6500K via the wall switch — three temperatures, one bulb, no separate purchase needed. Or choose the bare-socket option and fit your own preferred E27 bulb.
Built to hang low
A 150cm cord runs from a compact ceiling canopy — enough drop for most standard ceiling heights — with iron hardware throughout. Best suited to spaces of 3–8m² directly beneath the fixture: a dining table, a reading nook, a bedside pair.
