A Flat Brass Disc That Redefines the Downlight

Some fixtures dress up a bulb. The Halvorn does the opposite — it frames one. A single flat disc in brushed brass hovers above an exposed vintage-style bulb, letting the glow do the talking while the hardware around it does the styling. It's the kind of understated engineering that reads as confident rather than minimal, precise rather than plain.

The Exposed-Bulb Silhouette, Elevated

Industrial lighting has a well-worn vocabulary — raw sockets, visible hardware, an unapologetic bulb on display. The Halvorn speaks that language fluently, but refines it: a knurled brass socket, a slim rotary switch knob, and a wide, flat 22cm disc shade that throws light outward and down without ever hiding the source. Every joint is finished in the same warm brass, so the fixture reads as one continuous gesture rather than a kit of parts.

Three Ways to Wear the Same Light

The Halvorn ships with your choice of vintage-style filament bulb: a clear glass bulb that puts the glowing filament fully on display, a half-silvered mirror finish that throws a cooler, more directional beam upward into the shade, or a half gold-plated mirror finish that warms the reflection into an amber halo. Each bulb changes the character of the light itself — the fixture stays the same, but the mood it sets does not.

Built for the Places That Gather People

Scaled for a kitchen island, a bar counter, or a run of three above a dining table, the Halvorn holds its own without overwhelming the room. Its 1.5m braided cord means the drop height is yours to set, low over a counter for an intimate pool of light, or higher over an entry for ambient warmth. It's equally at home solo in a reading nook or repeated in a line for a full industrial statement.

Precision in Every Turn

The details carry the weight here: a solid brass canopy just 25mm deep, a hand-wound braided cord, and a socket housing machined with visible knurling that rewards a closer look. At just 220mm across and 45mm deep, the disc shade stays light in appearance while the iron-and-brass build stays serious in hand — a fixture made to be looked at as much as looked through.
