A Sculptural Study in Light and Shadow

Medithorn descends into a room like a piece of hand-carved stone made weightless—its ribbed, shell-like form catching light along every curved groove. Suspended over a dining table, nestled into an entryway, or hung low above a kitchen island, it reads first as sculpture and second as fixture, the kind of object that draws a second glance before anyone thinks to ask where the light is coming from.

Hand-Finished Resin, Wabi-Sabi at Heart

Cast in resin and finished by hand, each shade carries the fine ridged texture and gentle asymmetry that define wabi-sabi design—a philosophy that finds beauty in irregularity rather than perfection. Paired with a warm brass-toned fitting, the material has a soft, almost ceramic matte quality that feels considered rather than mass-produced.

Three Forms, One Philosophy

Medithorn is offered in three distinct sculptural silhouettes—Type A, a rounded, twisting dome; Type B, an open, elongated wave; and Type C, a taller infinity-fold form—each one an independent study in the same material language. Choose the shape that best answers the proportions of your room, from an intimate reading corner to a long dining table.

A Warm, Ambient Glow

An E27 LED bulb sits recessed within the shade, so the fixture itself never glares—light spills instead along the interior ridges and pools softly below. It is a glow built for evenings: warm, low, and unhurried, equally at home lighting a meal or simply left on as an object of quiet presence after dark.

Considered Interiors

Medithorn suits spaces that favour texture and restraint over ornament—Japandi dining rooms, plaster-toned living rooms, minimalist bedrooms, and any interior where a single considered object is allowed to do the talking. Hung solo or clustered in a trio at staggered heights, it brings warmth and quiet drama to a ceiling that would otherwise go unnoticed.
