A Saucer of Light

The Barel takes its cue from mid-century optimism: a flat, high-gloss disc suspended in space, capped by a single glossy sphere. It reads less like a light fixture and more like a small sculpture that happens to glow — equally at home floating above a dining table or anchoring a kitchen island.

Two Tones, One Gesture

Each Barel pairs a lacquered disc with a contrasting ball finial: a deep red sphere balanced on red, sage green or warm beige, or a polished silver sphere resting on soft ivory. The effect is playful without being loud — a considered pop of colour in an otherwise quiet room.

A Warm, Even Glow

An E27 LED bulb sits discreetly at the centre of the disc, washing the room in a steady warm white. No visible glare, no bare bulb — just a soft halo that spreads evenly across the ceiling and the table below, and can be swapped out in seconds when the time comes.

Two Sizes to Suit the Space

Available in 20 cm and 30 cm diameters, the Barel scales from an intimate breakfast nook to a generous dining table centrepiece. Hung solo it makes a quiet statement; grouped in twos or threes at staggered heights, it becomes the centrepiece of the room.

Considered Details

A slim black suspension cable and a discreet round ceiling canopy keep the focus on the disc itself. Straightforward to install and built to hold its lacquered finish for years, the Barel is a confident, compact gesture of colour for kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces alike.
