A quiet architecture of light and paper

There is a stillness to washi paper that no other material quite achieves — the way it holds light without releasing it all at once, the way its surface seems to breathe. The Hikaron takes this quality and gives it structure: a slender column of ribbed paper panels, stacked and suspended from a single point, so that light falls not as a beam but as a soft column of glow. It is a fixture built for spaces that ask to be softened, not lit.

Ribbed washi, joined with quiet precision

Each panel of the Hikaron is finished in a finely ribbed paper diffuser, its vertical pleats catching light differently depending on the angle of view. Slim dark trims mark where each panel meets the next, a deliberate detail that reads as craft rather than compromise — the joinery is visible, and it is meant to be. The result is a fixture that feels handmade even in its precision, at home in both a minimalist loft and a warmly furnished dining room.

Warmth that shifts with your day

Choose a fixed warm, neutral, or cool white to match the mood of the room, or opt for the tunable version and shift between all three with a simple touch — softening the light for an evening meal, brightening it for morning routines. Either way, the paper diffuser ensures the light itself is never harsh: it is filtered, dispersed, and gentled before it ever reaches the room.

Three lengths, one considered silhouette

The Hikaron is available in three proportions — a compact two-panel form for intimate corners, a mid-length three-panel version for dining tables and reading nooks, and a full four-panel column for entryways, stairwells, and double-height spaces. Each keeps the same 25cm diameter and the same unhurried rhythm of panels, so the choice is simply one of scale, not character.

Effortless to hang, built to be lived with

A compact ceiling canopy and an adjustable cord mean the Hikaron can be trimmed to the exact drop your space calls for, while the LED light source runs on a universal 90–260V circuit — no special wiring required. It is a fixture designed for the long term: paper that ages with quiet grace, and a silhouette simple enough to outlast any passing trend.
