Moroccan Mosaic Glass 9-Light Chandelier – Kerdane

A Constellation Cast Entirely in Glass

Some fixtures illuminate a room; this one populates it. Prismex gathers nine handcrafted mosaic glass globes across a two-tier brass frame, each one glowing its own mix of jewel tones, so the chandelier reads less like a single lamp and more like a small constellation suspended overhead. It is a fixture built to be looked at as much as looked through, equally at home above a dining table, in a stairwell, or greeting guests at an entry.

The Turkish Mosaic Tradition, Suspended

Each globe is built by hand from hundreds of tiny stained-glass and mirrored tesserae, set piece by piece into a metal cage frame — a technique rooted in centuries-old Turkish and Moroccan lamp-making. Because every globe is assembled individually, no two Prismex chandeliers are ever perfectly identical, and that irregularity is the point: light passing through the mosaic scatters into small shards of colour across ceilings, walls, and table settings, changing character from morning to night.

Aged Brass Scrollwork

Five ornate arms sweep outward from a central stem in dark, antiqued brass, finished with hand-detailed leaf and scroll work that recalls old-world lantern making. Each arm carries a stacked pair of globes, with a ninth suspended low at the centre, building a full, layered silhouette. The metalwork holds its own visual interest even by daylight, giving Prismex real presence when the lights are off — an object worth displaying, not just switching on.

A Warm, Layered Glow After Dark

Once lit, the mosaic glass filters each bulb into a soft, dappled colour that pools across the room below. The effect is intimate rather than bright — more candlelight-and-stained-glass than overhead lighting — making Prismex a natural fit for dining rooms, cafés, boutique hospitality spaces, and any corner meant to slow people down. Choose warm white for that candlelit feel, or cool white for a crisper, more contemporary cast.

Where It Belongs

Prismex suits spaces that want a sense of occasion: a dining table centrepiece, the turn of a staircase, the entrance to a restaurant or intimate bar. At just over half a metre wide and a full 148 cm tall, it is a genuine statement piece, so give it room to hang. Its handcrafted, maximalist character pairs naturally with eclectic, bohemian, or richly layered interiors, and works just as well as a singular statement in an otherwise minimal room.

Built to Be Installed Once

The ceiling canopy is engineered for secure, permanent mounting by a qualified electrician, and the fixture is designed to be installed once and enjoyed for years. Please note: this is a decorative, handcrafted piece — slight variations in mosaic pattern and colour placement between units are normal and part of its handmade character.
