Terrazzo, Suspended

The Arnox is a terrazzo pendant — a single dense cylinder of cement and stone aggregate, compressed into a capsule shape and suspended on a 150 cm adjustable cable. The material is authentic: real terrazzo, polished and unsealed, with visible aggregate fragments embedded in the cement matrix. Each shade is cast individually, which means each one carries its own subtle variations in speckle pattern and surface texture. No two are identical. The result is a pendant that looks handmade in the truest sense — not artisanal for its own sake, but because the material demands it.

Three Terrazzo Colourways

The Arnox is available in three colourways defined by the aggregate used in the mix. Black uses a dark cement base with white and grey stone fragments, producing a pendant that reads as graphite from a distance and reveals its terrazzo character up close. White reverses the balance — a pale cement base with dark speckles — creating a lighter, more mineral effect. Gray sits between the two, using warm grey and brown aggregates that give the shade an earthy, sandy quality well suited to Japandi, wabi-sabi, and warm neutral interiors. All three pair naturally with raw and tactile materials: linen, concrete, natural wood, stone.

Directed Spot Light

The GU10 LED module is positioned at the base of the shade, pointing downward. The cement shade is closed at the top and sides — no light escapes upward or laterally. All the illumination is focused directly below the pendant, producing a tight, warm pool of light. This makes the Arnox ideal for task lighting over tables, beds, and work surfaces, as well as for accent lighting in corridors and entryways. It runs on a standard on/off switch, with all output directed into that single, controlled pool of light below the shade.

The Weight of Material

Unlike glass or metal pendants, terrazzo has a tactile solidity that changes how you perceive a fitting. The Arnox does not flutter or swing — it hangs with the settled weight of stone. When you touch it, it is cool, faintly rough at the edges, and dense. This physical quality is part of the product's appeal: it brings a material seriousness to the ceiling that lighter pendants do not have. Hung in a cluster over a dining table or reading corner, a group of Arnox pendants creates a composition that feels considered and permanent — more installation than decoration.

Dimensions and Installation

Each shade measures Ø10 × H16 cm, with a Ø10 cm ceiling canopy (2 cm deep). The 150 cm adjustable cable allows positioning from ceiling heights of approximately 2.5 to 4 m. The GU10 LED bulb is included. Installation requires a standard ceiling outlet and is straightforward for a qualified electrician. The cable and ceiling canopy are in black-finished metal, matching the pendant's stem and connector. Not rated for outdoor use.
